Dr Louise Fleming is a Clinical Senior Lecturer in Respiratory Paediatrics at the National Heart and Lung Institute and Consultant Respiratory Paediatrician at the Royal Brompton Hospital with a clinical and research interest in children with problematic asthma.

Dr Fleming’s research interests include distinguishing difficult from severe therapy resistant asthma, phenotyping severe asthma, interventions for problematic severe asthma and the use of biomarkers in asthma and pre school wheeze. She is the clinical lead for asthma at the Royal Brompton where she has developed the difficult asthma protocol and the National Registry for children with difficult asthma. She is a member of the BTS Specialist Advisory Group for Severe Asthma, a member of the BTS/SIGN clinical guidelines group and Chair of the Asthma UK Health Professionals Council.
